We are looking for a curious and detail-oriented Junior BI Developer to join our team at our Cape Town offices. In this role, you will help transform raw data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate key business metrics clearly and accurately
- Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Assist in maintaining data integrity and identifying anomalies or inconsistencies in data
- Document data processes, report logic, and data definitions
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in a BI, data, or analytics role
- Solid working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with at least one BI/reporting tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Python or R for data manipulation
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
